The Peace Officers’ Memorial Foundation, in association with CLEAT, the Texas Peace Officers Memorial Committee, C.O.P.S., and other Texas law enforcement groups, honors fallen officers who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty with a weekend of memorial events each Spring.
Beginning on a Saturday, the Peace Officers’ Memorial Foundation hosts the Ride for the Fallen (RFTF)—a motorcycle ride from Cowboy Harley-Davidson in South Austin to the Texas Peace Officers’ Memorial Monument at the Capitol. Each year, hundreds of riders come to honor the fallen during this event.
On Sunday, we continue honoring these brave men and women with a larger Memorial Ceremony and Candlelight Vigil, featuring guest speakers, honor guards from departments across the state, and other supporters.
Come be a part of the Memorial Weekend to join us in celebrating the lives and honoring the service of Texas’ fallen heroes.
